Thornton Hall, the luxurious 4* hotel situated in the heart of the Wirral countryside, is hoping to fight off fierce competition in order to once again take home a title at the Afternoon Tea of the Year Awards.
Having won the award for ‘Best Tasting Afternoon Tea of the Year’ in 2018, this year, the team at Thornton Hall Hotel are hoping to be awarded with another top prize. The team will be travelling down to London to compete against a number of high-profile venues from all over the UK, including Claridge’s, Fortnum & Mason and Coworth Park.
Now in their third year, the prestigious awards recognise the best in afternoon tea service and creativity from some of the UK’s finest hotels, restaurants and tea rooms. The awards, judged by a team of industry experts, look at all aspects of the afternoon tea experience from booking to departure, with a strong focus on the food, drink and service.

Judging will take place on Friday 14th June 2019 at the Westminster Boating Base in London.
