Anxiety And Depression, Take The Steps To Combat It

Depression and anxiety can affect anyone at any age. There are no rules relating to when and where you are going to experience it. The question that you need to ask yourself is, do you know a possible route or cause of this problem? What do you think is triggering this feeling? Is it sudden, is it an experience or an event that’s made your mind slip back into that way of thinking. Perhaps someone has said something to you that’s hurt you, or you’ve not had job satisfaction that particular week, or if things consistently go wrong in the day/week, it can trigger off an episode.  Social media has so much to answer for, we judge our lives on glossy photos and whilst the grass can be greener on the other side, sometimes it isn’t and there is always someone less fortunate than you in the world.

There are some great methods to assist you with both anxiety and depression, and it’s well worth taking a look.

  • Getting to bed as early as you can, even if you cannot sleep, but it’s futile staying up when your mind is in such a bad place. Make sure to put the phone away, read or watch a movie instead.
  • Take deep breaths – this is something that can really help reset the body. When you’re crying uncontrollably or feeling overwhelmed or angry with life, ten slow deep breaths really does help put things into perspective a little.
  • Simplifying life – Lose the phone through the day as much as possible, too. Putting it in another room or turning it off, stops you from frantically searching other people’s seemingly amazing lives online and gives you a reality check.
  • Realising that not everybody can or will like you and that’s OK, leave them be; focus on yourself or find people who appreciate you for who you are.
  • Allowing it to pass – know that depression is a cycle, from trigger, to intense feelings, then to the final bit of the cycle, where the wave dies down. You can’t quickly fix it, it will take its course.
  • Hormonal treatments – Evening Primrose Oil can be a good supplement to include in your life. Sometimes for women, bouts of depression can be triggered by hormones, either around the time of your period or at other times of the month, so keep track if you can or when you’re feeling down. Taking supplements is one major element that people definitely don’t do enough of.
  • CBD – CBD oil has plenty of potential benefits for your health and one of them happens to be for anxiety. With signature cbd you can supplement it into your life in a healthy way and start to notice the effect it’s having.

Just remember that life can get easier and it will, but it takes a shift in mindset and an appreciation for life as well as a dedication to getting healthier. Shifting your mind from the bad to the good, will take time, but there are plenty of ways to achieve it.
