His & Hers first met the chef Gary Usher at Burnt Truffle. He and his team have created fine restaurants in Chester, Heswall, Liverpool, Prescot and Didsbury. He is a classically trained, and it is all about creating beautiful dishes at affordable prices. There have been famous signature dishes, such as feather-blade beef that take time and loving care. It will be exciting to try some exciting innovations.
To celebrate the sunshine, the Heswall favourite has launched an inspiring new menu. Snacks and starters include the likes of beer battered pickles and tarragon mayonnaise. You can enjoy burrata with charred Tenderstem broccoli, Romesco sauce and almonds. Salt and pepper chicken wings are temptingly served with red chili and roast garlic mayonnaise.
The highlights of the main dishes include a 6oz dry aged beef burger featuring 24-month aged Comte cheese, beef tomato and homemade burger relish and Harissa spiced aubergine with strained yoghurt and a mixed seed crisp. Burnt Truffle regulars will also be pleased to see that their famed Truffle and parmesan chips also make a welcome appearance.
British weather permitting, guests will be able to enjoy the menu on the sun-soaked outdoor terrace. The outside space has recently undergone a makeover or move inside the restaurant. Available from 12 noon or between 6 and 7pm.
General Manager, Cris Slocombe commented on the new offerings. “The kitchen has been working really hard on the menu and it has arrived just in time for the sunshine. Alongside some Burnt Truffle favourites, we’re looking forward to guests trying some of the new dishes that we’re really excited about. The burger is definitely not one to be missed…”
The menu is available at lunchtimes or between 6 and 7pm. For more information or to book, visit http://burnttruffle.net or call 0151 342 1111.
