This is a truly important date in the calendar for His & Hers. I am not exactly a disinterested by-stander (being a mother myself), but that would never sway me to overestimate the significance of this day.
Feature by Jean Hill
I am writing this article on National Scouse Day and recollecting my childhood. My mother, an impressive cook, made scouse nearly every week. The correct ingredients, in her considered opinion were: both neck end of lamb and beef brisket, carrots, swede, onions, fresh herbs of choice, stock and a dash or two of Lea & Perrins. I can still picture her in her kitchen, book open on the kitchen table with food bubbling on the hob.
