BOODLES PRESENTS CHRISTMAS AT THE SAVOY…
Bringing added sparkle to this year’s festive season, the British fine jewellery brand, Boodles, has teamed up with The Savoy for the second year in a row to create a spectacular Christmas tree which will be positioned in the hotel’s famous entrance hall. The Savoy’s floral design team will work throughout the night on 19th November to transform the hotel: guests will wake up to the surprise of a diamonds and ice inspired frozen fantasia on the morning of Sunday 20th November.
The Boodles Christmas tree for The Savoy will be adorned with soft ‘Boodles pink’ tones alongside ombre and mirrored details in line with the ‘diamonds and ice’ theme that has been selected for this spectacular tree. Elegant, bespoke decorations inspired by some of Boodles most iconic designs have been created using cut mirror, which will hang alongside mirrored deco squares and rectangles.
A pale pink Boodles pillar box will be placed alongside the tree and guests will be invited to post their Christmas wish through the post box on a Boodles card and upload a festive image of the tree to Instagram. After the holiday period one card will be selected at random by Boodles Chairman Nicholas Wainwright and the writer will be gifted a special piece of Boodles fine jewellery.
Continuing with the theme of diamonds and ice world famous champagne house Louis Roederer has collaborated with The Savoy to create an ice rink installation in the Thames Foyer. Taking inspiration from a child’s jewellery box renowned sculptor Gareth Knowles has created a life- size ice skater which will pirouette under the bauble adorned gazebo and twirl on an icy surface throughout the festive period.
Alongside the installation guests will have the opportunity to sample a specially created Festive Afternoon Tea with pale pink Boodles inspired patisserie and Louis Roederer Rose cuvée.
