Tabloids are filled with headlines of famous couples getting a divorce or arguing over custody over their children. However, what the yellow press fails to mention is that there are many more famous couples who are happy together. Their love stories are so inspirational that they can serve as a beacon of hope for all the lonely hearts out there seeking true romance in their lives. By learning how they’ve met and what activities they undertake to rekindle the flair in their relationship, we too can expect true love to knock at our door.
Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez
The pop music icon of the 1990s and the 2000s, Jennifer Lopez has announced her engagement in March this year. Her husband-to-be is Alex Rodriguez, a retired pro baseball player in the MLB. The couple had been dating for two years now and the thing that really got them attracted to each other was, believe it or not, bodybuilding. J Lo and A-Rod share the same passion for lifting weights and riding bikes, which makes them the unofficial queen and king of celebrity fitness. Sports, therefore, are a great way of connecting with your partner. Even running a race for couples can help rekindle the romance since you will be reliant on each other jogging side by side.
Mila Kunis and Ashton Kutcher
We all loved That ’70s Show but did you know that it was more real than we thought? Jackie and Kelso’s first kiss was actually the first time actress Mila Kunis kissed a man. Since then, that has been the only man (hopefully) she has been kissing, since she and Ashton Kutcher tied the knot in 2015 and they had two baby boys a few years later. However, being a famous couple is hard and they have to refute constant rumours that they are on the verge of getting a divorce. They perceive each new round of gossiping as an opportunity to go out into the public and once more proclaim love for each other in a humorous manner. How cute is that!
Serena Williams and Alexis Ohanian
A few years back, the co-founder of Reddit, Alexis Ohanian, was staying in a hotel in Rome. Fate would have it that the famous American tennis player, Serena Williams, would stay in the same hotel at exactly the same time. Despite being initially turned down, Alexis was brave enough to join Serena and her party at the table they were sitting at. Serendipity took it from there and the pair went on their first date a few days later in Paris (talk about a romantic venue for a date). Today their life is centered around their two-year-old daughter Alexis Olympia Ohanian Jr, which is a relationship goal worth aspiring to.
Rita Wilson and Tom Hanks
Everybody’s favourite actor from Forrest Gump found true love more than three decades ago. Tom met Rita Wilson, a colleague and fellow actor, in the early 1980s while starring in the sitcom Bosom Buddies. They soon started dating and after many ups and downs finally tied the knot in 1988. They have been there for each other through each stage in life: the birth of the first of their two children in 1990, Tom winning an Oscar in 1995 and meeting princess Di that same year. In an interview he gave to Oprah during the 1990s, Tom famously exclaimed that he would have never known what love was, were it not for his wife Rita. They are still each other’s biggest on-screen and off-screen fans and supporters!
Although their amorous relationships face substantially more obstacles than ordinary folks’ love affairs do, famous couples still stick by each other. They are there for their partner/spouse through thick and thin, enjoying many wonderful hours together, sharing those key moments together.
