Royal Albert Dock

It is that lovely time of year again: strolling in the dappled sunshine, enjoying all that Liverpool dock-land has to offer. It is a thriving community: the Tate, world class museums, retail and fine restaurants in a beautiful setting.

At His & Hers we have been lucky enough to eat at all the restaurants highlighted in this article. We have fond memories of delicious food and glorious evenings. We have sat, totally contented watching lights play across deep water, with total appreciation of the food, the view and the moment.

Rosa’s Thai Cafe

This ‘café’ brings the fresh, zesty and delicate flavours of south-east Asia cuisine to Royal Albert Dock Liverpool. Take a trip to this authentic restaurant for a taste of Thai. Choose from a series of dishes prepared with seasonal British ingredients. Start with a helping of golden sweetcorn patties, then tuck into a classic veg and tofu cashew stir fry. Indulge in  a side order of veg and tofu fried rice with onions and spring greens.

Maray

Boasting a bountiful menu of veggie starters and plates, the options are endless at Maray. Start with a mezze of bhajis, accompanied with a roasted red pepper and coriander dip.  Then choose from their spiced lentil & rice Majadara, augbergine Dopiaza and their signature Disco Cauliflower for the ultimate feast.

Gusto

This is Italian-inspired fare using responsibility-sourced ingredients to create classic flavour combinations. Indulge in restaurant favourite, risotto verde: a classic dish made with creamy pea risotto with asparagus, mint and chilli. Then choose a side order of truffle skin-on fires as the perfect accompaniment.

Titanic Hotel Liverpool

Dine in decadence at Titanic Hotel’s theatre-style restaurant, Stanley’s Bar and Grill. Made with pickled chilli and scorched burrata, their penne pasta Arrabiata is perfect for those who enjoy a meal with a kick of spice. Finish off with a refreshing dessert to cool the pallet in the form of Liverpool Gin Torte with tonic and lemon jelly.

Lunyalita

This gem of a restaurant delivers a mouth-watering menu inspired by Catalunya, with veggie dishes in abundance. Tuck into a delicious, freshly made tortilla made with Spanish potato and onion, alongside pan-fried chestnut mushrooms served in Arbequina olive oil and asparagus shavings, BBQ pulled aubergine and Padrón peppers.

On to the next big celebration, a Royal Weekender at the Dock

Then in June, there is a ginormous celebration, much anticipated and much excitement.

We can all look forward to celebrating the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee with a feast for the senses. The Royal Albert Dock Liverpool is set to host A Royal Weekender for visitors between 4th-5th June 2022.

Soak up the sunshine with al fresco dining whilst a variety of Liverpool’s finest emerging musicians immerse diners with an electric atmosphere. There will be performances from three sound stages around the dock bringing the quayside to life.

Visitors can enjoy a lunch fit for royalty in one of the bars or restaurants which will offer the best seats in the house. You will be able to grab a refreshing cocktail from one of the pop-up bars.

The dock is the perfect place to celebrate the Jubilee weekend, in its waterfront setting, Jubilee decorated colonnades and vibrant live soundtrack.

I am sensing there will be bunting. No party without bunting and glorious, fun food.
