Vida Glow

His & Hers had the opportunity to try out New Vida Glow Collagen Advanced in liquid form. First
impressions: it tasted delicious. It is simplicity itself to take: simply tear off the ‘nozzle’ and drink straight from the sachet. Contained within are: marine collagen (main ingredient), Manuka honey, natural mixed berry flavours, and blackcurrant and pomegranate juice powders.

I felt a little like Alice in Wonderland taking the magic potion. I held my breath and I made a wish. I was
aware of a gentle transformation within a few days.

Collagen is a major structural protein in our tissues. It’s found in skin, hair, nails, tendons, cartilage, and
bones. Collagen works with other substances, such as hyaluronic acid and elastin, to maintain skin
elasticity, volume, and moisture. It also helps make up proteins such as keratin that form skin, hair and
nails.

Our bodies naturally produce collagen using the amino acids from protein-rich or collagen-rich foods like
meat, and fish. But ageing, sun damage, smoking, and alcohol consumption all decrease collagen
production.

Collagen drinks and supplements often contain collagen from different sources, such as fish or chicken.
Vida Glow contains marine collagen. Typically supplements contain peptides, short chains of amino
acids that help make up essential proteins in the body, including collagen itself and keratin.

The obvious advantage of Vida Glow Collagen is that I could firm skin and smooth fine lines on-the-go,
as part of a daily beauty routine, Collagen Liquid Advance delivers a double dosage of natural marine
collagen and added antioxidant complex to address skin ageing. And it works! My skin had lost its
elasticity, which was more ageing than the fine lines that had accumulated. I feel that my skin has better
tone and is definitely firmer. I also think the colour is warmer (though this might just be fanciful). I am
convinced that this has given me back a little lost glamour. Sold, sealed and delivered.

It will also help to follow a healthy lifestyle and eat a balanced diet that includes protein-rich foods. If
you smoke, seriously consider quitting. Limit your alcohol consumption (I know a big ask over Christmas
with so many events where a person ends up with a cocktail or two in their hands). Apply sunscreen. I
know there has not been too many sightings of sunshine in UK this last week.
