OVER THE PAST FEW MONTHS, ANYONE WHO WALKS ALONG MATHEW STREET OR STANLEY STREET WILL HAVE SPOTTED A LOT OF ACTIVITY GOING ON. WELL, ALL WAS REVEALED IN NOVEMBER WITH THE SECOND MCCOOLEY’S IN THE PUB INVEST GROUP STABLE OPENING ITS DOORS IN THE CAVERN QUARTER OF THE CITY CENTRE.
About the new McCooley’s:
The latest opening created 80 new jobs. From part time bar staff to full time supervisors and bar managers. Tam Williams, Head of Marketing, commented: “We are pleased to open our second McCooley’s site in the cavern quarter of the city. McCooley’s in Concert Square has been such a huge hit in Liverpool over the past two years, with the perfect mix of sports and Irish bar, we now thought the time was right to expand over on the other side of the city centre.”
The new McCooley’s takes over two existing sites in the city centre. What was Jamie Carragher’s Cafe Sports England on Stanley Street as well as one of Pub Invest Group’s current existing sites, Smokies on Mathew Street. The new venue is a total of 6,500 square feet over several floors and mirrors the same offering as the first site. You’ll find a great range of drinks, food, live music and sports – with an Irish twist at the new McCooley’s.
