The year 2020 has been a strange one for everyone, and if the COVID-19 pandemic has taught us anything, it’s that life is short, and you never know what is going to happen next. Many people have had their year thrown into disarray by the pandemic with weddings being cancelled, house moves being put on hold and jobs lost. It can be tempting to wait until things get back to some sort of normal to get on with your life, but what if that day never comes. While things will ease, they may never go back to the way they were, and we may have to get used to a new normal. Whatever it is you should have done this year or wanted to do, whatever you are putting off, now is the time to do it:

So you might have always wanted a huge wedding with over a hundred people there, and it’s awful that you can’t do that right now. However, as we don’t know how long restrictions will be in place for, it’s important to decide if you want to wait, how long you want to wait or if the important thing is to get married. You can have a party any day and any year and make it your special day, but if you want to get married, then you should do it. It might not be what you had in mind but rather than putting your life on hold and not knowing when you’ll get your big day; you can move on and enjoy being married to the one you love. 

Get Engaged

Perhaps you’re putting off getting engaged because you’re not sure if you’ll be able to get married. Well referring to the point above, we don’t know when restrictions will ease, and you will be able to have that big wedding, so if you want to ask your partner to marry you then do it now and give yourself and your friends and family something to get excited about and look forward to. We all need a bit of good news right now. 

Buy A House

While many people have put their house move on home, stamp duty reductions are helping to sell homes so actually now might be the right time to do it. With lockdown you have enough time at home to pack and sort yourself out, so why not make the most out of it and make something new and exciting happen for yourself. 

Start Your Own Business

If you planned to start a new business this year but put it off due to the pandemic, it’s time to put it back on again. While many businesses are struggling, yours might be one that thrives and if you start out with restrictions, hand sanitizing and social distancing in place in the first place then you won’t need to dramatically change your business as you’ll be starting out on the right track. There are many businesses that are really needed right now, so whether it’s a small business where you’re sewing face masks and selling them or a bigger industrial cleaning business. Go for it.
