DIZZEE RASCAL IS ANNOUNCED FOR WE LUV FESTIVAL AT AINTREE

Dizzee Rascal, Music Festival Appearance

THE RENOWNED UK GRIME AND HIP HOP STAR DIZZEE RASCAL HAS BEEN ANNOUNCED AS PART OF THE SECOND PHASE OF THE STAR STUDDED WE LUV FESTIVAL LINE-UP. THE ADDITION OF DIZZEE RASCAL TO THE ROLL-CALL OF STARS SET TO PERFORM IS AN EXCITING ANNOUNCEMENT FOR THE WE LUV FESTIVAL TEAM.


The singer, songwriter and producer who hails from Bow in London is known for hits such as ‘Bonkers’, ‘Holiday’ and ‘Dance Wiv Me’ as well as his five hit albums including ‘Tongue n’ Cheek’. The multi award-winning star received the prestigious Mercury Music Prize for his debut album ‘Boy in da Corner’ in 2003 and the album is considered a grime classic to this day. The renowned artist has a massive appeal which spans across music genres including grime, garage, bassline, hip hop and RnB.

Dizzee Rascal has collaborated with stars such as Florence and the Machine and Calvin Harris and he has performed to huge crowds all over the world, so he is no stranger to festival life.

The critically acclaimed star will perform sets featuring some of his best-known hits to get the crowds dancing, drawing from his impressive catalogue of chart topping material from his gold and platinum certified albums. We Luv Festival is set to be one of the biggest festivals on the Liverpool festival calendar, with up to 80,000 guests over the course of two days at Aintree Racecourse Liverpool during the Bank Holiday weekend of 28th and 29th May.

Dizzee Rascal, Example, DJ Fresh and Ocean Colour Scene and many more artists will make up the long list of performers of the star studded line-up. The new names announced which will take to the main stage of the festival also include all X factor finalists Louisa Johnson, Reggie and Bollie, Anton Stephans, Che Chesterman, Lauren Murray, Mason Noise, Seann Miley Moore and 4th Impact.

The unveiling of the second phase of artists who will join the line-up is an exciting moment for the We Luv Festival team, who are proud to announce the array of international stars who will perform over the bank holiday weekend.

We Luv Festival will be the first festival event focused predominantly on families. Over sixty artists are set to perform and the festival will put Liverpool firmly on the map as a festival destination, bringing a family focused event of music and entertainment to the region. The event is set to be the largest music festival staged in the North West, featuring a host of music stars as well as an array of food and entertainment.

There will also be a Liverpool stage with some very special performances from various local artists who will be announced shortly, however we have been told that Ray Quinn and Christopher Maloney will be joining the line-up of local talent.

Festival visitors will enjoy a variety of fun areas on the vast 25-acre Aintree site, including a Food Festival area and Fairground and Fun area alongside the Main Stage where the music stars will perform. The Family Fun Festivals Company, the organisation behind We Luv Festival are delighted to host the event which is a brand new and unique festival concept due to its family focused nature.

As well as the impressive list of music stars who will keep the crowds entertained, younger guests will enjoy interactive sports activities, face painting and plenty more family fun including stilt walkers, inflatables and Punch and Judy shows. The event aims to completely shake up the festival scene with a brand new approach centred on an inclusive festival to appeal to all ages.

Some of the artists already confirmed for the event include UB40, Arrested Development, Radio Riddler, Scouting For Girls, Rebecca Ferguson, Alexander O’Neal, William Singe, Fuse ODG, Sugar Hill Gang and Fatman Scoop. The new phase of big names announced has added to the prestigious list of performers.

Further to the family focused nature of the event, We Luv Festival is also set to benefit a number of renowned charities from the region. The charity partners chosen for the event reflect the core values of the We Luv Festival philosophy. The partners include Alder Hey Children’s Charity, Cash 4 Kids, Claire House Children’s Hospice, Everton in the Community, James Bulger Memorial Trust, and L.F.C. Foundation.

The prominent charities involved in We Luv Festival reflect the family focused nature of the event, which has been carefully planned in order to create one of the most exciting occasions the North West has ever seen.

The festival has already seen an unprecedented demand for tickets and the roll-call of stars set to take to the stage during the event is now even more glittering after the second phase line-up has been unveiled. There will also be the chance to enjoy exclusive ‘meet and greet’ sessions with some of the star performers at the festival, details of which are set to be announced shortly. VIP tickets are available which give ticket holders access to fast track entry, designated covered seating and a VIP bar and barbecue area serving an array of food and drinks.
