Metquarter welcomes back shoppers

new campus

With non-essential shops re-opening yesterday (Monday 12th April) Metquarter has kept all of its safety measures in place to welcome back visitors.

The centre is expecting steady footfall as shoppers return and is confident the safety measures will ensure everyone has an enjoyable experience in the centre.

An enhanced cleaning regime is in place with the regular cleaning of all key customer touch points in the centre. There are also hand sanitising stations at the entry and exit points which all visitors will be encouraged to use.

Capacity within the centre will be closely monitored with a queuing system being put in place should it be required, and Customer Service officers will be on patrol throughout to ensure the safety measures are being followed.

All staff who are on site have been provided with PPE and will be following strict guidelines to ensure the safety of everyone in the centre.

Jennina O’Neill, centre manager at Metquarter, said: “We’re thrilled to be able to welcome shoppers back to the Metquarter. The health and well-being of our visitors and tenants remains our number one priority and we’re confident that everyone will be able to enjoy shopping with us once again.”

Metquarter will continue to monitor government advice and will adjust to accommodate any changes. Retailers have carried out individual risk assessments to ensure they’re Covid secure, and have their own communication in store to remind shoppers of the safety measures in place.
