AFTER REVOLUTIONISING THE BEAUTY INDUSTRY, URBAN DECAY LAUNCHED THEIR EIGHTH STORE IN LIVERPOOL BACK IN 2016. HERE’S WHY ALMOST A YEAR AND A HALF ON, WE’RE STILL A TAD OBSESSED WITH IT…
Back in December 2016, we were excited to receive an invitation to the launch of a new Urban Decay Boutique store in Liverpool ONE.
The boutique stocks all of your Urban Decay essentials, including best-selling Naked palettes (one of which is sold every five seconds), long lasting 24/7 liners (one sold every ten seconds), and the brand’s unique and unrivalled setting sprays (one sold every 15 seconds). The Liverpool boutique also stocks exclusive make-up and boutique lifestyle products that you won’t find anywhere else.
These days, the store’s a familiar part of the L1 landscape, offering some of the city’s favourite make-up products and plenty of advice, and in an incredibly competitive market, they remain one of the few beauty brands to get everyone talking every time they launch a new product or palette.
Here are a few throw-back pics from the store’s launch, which have reminded us of a good night (and of just how much we want Anna Passey’s coat!)

The Urban Decay Story:
In the early days, Urban Decay challenged the ’90s pink and beige status quo with groundbreaking shades like Smog, Rust, Oil Slick and Acid Rain. Back then, the company’s founder, Wende mixed nail polish and assembled press kits in her Laguna Beach bungalow.
These days, every blogger, celebrity and beauty journalist has their own favourite Naked palette and the His & Hers team has even enjoyed watching some gentle controversy unfolding in recent weeks over the warmer shades in the new ‘Naked Heat’ palettes (which we rather like). If you’re stuck in a make-up rut and want to find some new shades to play with, we’d highly recommend paying a visit to Urban Decay.
