Fairytale Endings

My visit rekindled fond memories of good times at the Metquarter. We have luxuriated in massages, eye-lash tinting and simply feeling pampered at Urban Calm. We have enjoyed epic movies at Everyman in comfy, elegant sofas, with a glass of wine in one fist and popcorn in the other. We have shopped until we dropped in for a delicious cuppa and lunch in the GPO food hall. We have enjoyed fashion shows at Fairytale Endings and bought an occasion number that has seen us through more than just one special event.

Fairytale Endings has opened a new venue at the Metquarter with their wedding store, opposite their original prom, party and evening-wear shop.

The interior of the wedding store reflects a fresh approach. It is a dramatic space, that welcomes a person inside. An adventure in the quest and capture of the perfect wedding dress. Wedding shoes are on sale in the store and these include shiny white trainers! The heeled versions look remarkably comfortable too.

Angie ventured into the original prom shop in search of her perfect wedding dress, which she bagged. As a result, she discovered that Gill the owner needed a manager for her new wedding shop. Fairytale endings indeed.

Fairytale Endings wedding dresses

RiccaSposa dresses have found their happy owners in more than 50 countries around the world.

The history of the brand started 12 years ago with a dream. The founder Yuliia Lobachova could not choose the right dress for her big day and after seeing hundreds of beautiful wedding gowns, she still could not find the one. She wanted something special; something unique. As a result she opened her own production design company and launched the Ricca Sposa brand. It was a success within Ukraine and after being presented on international bridal shows, Ricca Sposa has become a  worldwide brand. All this has not happened without trauma. Ukraine has been at war for two years. Yuliia Labachova had to move her factory: yet nothing stops her creating her wonderful wedding dresses.

A Pia Michi dress is a statement piece. Pia Michi was established in 1987 and has been devoted to designing exclusive gowns for women to wear for all types of special occasions from balls to proms, from garden parties to weddings, from the races to The Ritz. The company was set up by four sisters, starting off as a retail business which rapidly expanded into a wholesale business, designing and manufacturing evening gowns for all occasions.

Say it with Diamonds

Adjacent to Fairytale Endings, Say it with Diamonds has a beautiful wedding range of jewellery. The pieces: earrings, necklaces and bracelets are romantic, subtle, delicate and utterly gorgeous. This is a match made in heaven!

The Art Quarter Liverpool is a collective of local artists who originally formed in 2015 for the award winning ‘ONEart’ in Liverpool. The artists have lots of incredibly valued stockists and exhibit in galleries around the country, They are different though: the artists are behind the counter and can tell! you all about the inspiration and stories behind their work. There is a wide range of work using various media such as: painting, illustration, photography, textiles, glasswork, greetings cards, home wares and jewellery. Commissions are available too.

When you buy a piece of work from the Art Quarter you are helpig an individual independent business and supporting the local economy. I bought a beautiful painting from Marianna, who happened to be behind the counter. She took time to introduce me to other artists’ work and explain how the collective managed to keep prices at a really modest level.
