At His & Hers, we have fond memories of time spent in the Hilton. There have been memorable nights of fund raising. There have been exciting and absorbing events, drinks and lunches with friends and colleagues. Happy memories indeed.

It had been a week of celebrating my birthday, that stretched to sharing afternoon tea with my lovely daughter and editor of His & Hers, Emma.
The Exchange restaurant, at the Hilton, offers views over Chavasse Park and a menu crafted with local ingredients. Afternoon Tea is served every day from 1pm to 4pm.
The Pima bar provides refreshing drinks including signature cocktails, light snacks, and a seasonal sun terrace is but a few steps away. There you can watch the world walk by and relax close by a water feature and greenery as you sip some sparkling wine or other refreshment.
We enjoyed a quintessentially British afternoon tea at The Exchange. We were warmly welcomed. The place itself just makes me want to smile. The atmosphere was buzzing. Tea and coffee is on hand served by friendly staff. A tiered selection of freshly prepared sandwiches appeared accompanied by a description (and a hint at just how good the desserts were). The sandwiches arrived, with scones with clotted cream and jam, and an array of mini cakes and desserts, top tier. The bread is gorgeous, the fillings are delightful. There is something about freshly baked scones, clotted cream and jam (with a scattering of fresh strawberries) that gladdens the heart. My favourite mini dessert was a lemon meringue pie concoction that was light as air but tasted so good.
We sipped traditional English breakfast tea, a chilled glass of champagne and excellent coffee. There is an option to upgrade to ‘Afternoon Tea for two’ in the hotels 7th floor Executive Lounge. There are stunning views of Liverpool ONE’s Chavasse Park and a Champagne Cocktail awaits you upon arrival.
We relaxed into that Friday afternoon feel good vibe. Afternoon tea was a lovely experience. Glancing about, everyone was chatting and smiling, enjoying themselves immensely. It works for me.
