YOUNG PRINCESSES AND JEDI KNIGHTS FROM ACROSS MERSEYSIDE ARE BEING INVITED TO A SPECIAL ‘FAMILY SUNDAY LUNCH’ WITH PRINCESS ANNA FROM FROZEN AND STAR WARS HERO LUKE SKYWALKER AT NOVA RESTAURANT IN HESWALL.
The characters will be on hand to meet and greet young diners and their families at the Wirral restaurant from 12-2pm on Sunday 25th September.
The ‘Family Sunday Lunch’ at Nova will also include face painting for children, storytelling, story writing, arts and crafts, colouring and mask making. There will also be balloon modelling and interactive games to keep youngsters entertained.
Young diners can choose from their own children’s menu, designed to appeal to young tastebuds with starters such as ‘tomato soup’ and ‘garlic bread’ and mains such as freshly prepared ‘tomato pasta’ and ‘fish goujons and chips’. The children’s meal is topped off by a choice of sweet treats from ‘chocolate brownie’ to ‘freeze dried fruits with chocolate and popping candy’.
While the children are kept entertained between courses, grown-ups can relax and enjoy the seasonal Sunday Lunch menu, which includes starters such as ‘smoked haddock fishcake, leeks and pickled baby leeks’, ‘spiced duck salad, cous-cous and cress’ and main courses including ‘roast guinea fowl supreme’ and ‘roast Chateaubriand with onion gravy’, both served with seasonal vegetables, roast potatoes and Yorkshire pudding. The mouth-watering dessert menu includes ‘pistachio and dried apricot tart’ and ‘strawberry panna cotta with strawberry macaroon’.
Jana and Moyo Benson, owners of the family run restaurant, are looking forward to their first ‘Family Sunday Lunch’ event.
Moyo, who is also head chef at Nova Restaurant, said: “As a family run business, we are always keen to welcome food lovers of all ages to Nova Restaurant.
“Traditionally, Sunday is the day that families come together to share a meal and we want to celebrate that tradition by offering something special for our young diners. Our children’s dishes are freshly prepared in the same way as all of our food using the finest ingredients.
“Families with young children are sometimes put off taking the kids out to eat but there’s no reason why people with young children shouldn’t be able to eat out and enjoy amazing food. At Nova Restaurant, we want everyone to feel welcome, whatever their age. I’m sure the young princesses and Jedi knights of Wirral will have a great time as well as their parents.”
Children are being encouraged to come along to the ‘Family Sunday Lunch’ dressed up as their favourite character.
