HERE ARE HIS & HERS’ FRIDAY FASHION HIGHLIGHTS IN NO PARTICULAR ORDER…

London Fashion Week

fashion highlights 1Today marks the official opening of London Fashion Week. A whole host of His & Hers’ favourite brands will be giving us a sneak preview of the looks we’ll be lusting over for spring/summer 2019.

However, we’re particularly interested to see what Burberry’s new look under artistic director Riccardo Tisci will be after Christopher Bailey left the brand on a high with his rainbow-emblazoned show (which was a vibrant, colourful celebration of LGBTQ+ communities) back in February.

Burberry is also one of the brands which offers a runway-to-retail model, meaning that fashion lovers can snap up their favourite pieces as soon as the show has finished, rather than waiting for catwalk looks to filter down to the high street. We personally like this instant gratification!

We’ll also be watching Victoria Beckham’s latest looks with interest (she’s clearly been working hard on the finishing touches behind the scenes!)

The fashion-loving team at Flannels have created their pick of the best LFW-inspired looks (below) perfect for those who want to stay one step ahead of the fashion pack and shop the look before the models have even set foot on the runway!

What to spritz at the shows:

Although the sun may not be shining on us today, we’re carrying our ray of sunshine in a bottle in the form of Jo Malone London’s new Honeysuckle & Davana cologne.

Described as a ‘happy new floral’, this new scent features wild honeysuckle undercut with woody moss tones and the delicious aroma of fresh roses and fruity davana.

It’s the subtle scent that will be carried in all the chicest handbags throughout LFW and beyond (RRP for the handbag-sized cologne: £47.)

This cologne was launched on 1st September and is available at Jo Malone London stores and concessions nationwide or via the website: www.jomalone.co.uk

And once you’re kicking off your shoes and heading home for a hard-earned rest after the shows, you’ll be happy to know that it’s also available as a candle!

New Season Shoe Shopping

From googling winter boots to drooling over dressy high-gloss heels, His & Hers has been obsessing over shoes this week. We’re dreaming of these Dolce & Gabbana heels featured in the Flannels LFW style edit (SO stylish!)

They’d be the perfect way to complete any evening outfit, giving those little black dresses a whole new lease of life when teamed with these beauties. However, if the £975 price tag’s breaking the budget (and breaking your heart!) we have you covered with some high street inspiration from Lotus Shoes, featured below.

The Lotus Shoes collection (pictured above) features a range of styles which tend to hover around the £60 mark, including plenty of options which would be ideal for rainy autumn days. These shoes won’t break the bank and you’ll find plenty of daytime options with lower heels here.

And if LFW has taken a serious toll on your feet, it could be time to slip them into something a little more comfortable…

Why not keep it classic with these Gola trainers which will add a casual retro vibe to your outfit (while working wonders for aching feet!) We like the Gola Classics Women’s Bullet With Swarovski® Crystals (pictured) in off white, RRP: £160. However, if you’re looking for a more dressed down style for daytime, you’ll find a wide range of options on the Gola website.

This feature includes a sponsored link to Lotus Shoes and Gola, but the words, and style recommendations, are all our own. If you’re on your way to LFW, we’d love to know what you’ll be wearing and spritzing and whose shows you’ll be taking in. Please tell us all about it in the comments below!
