THE HIS & HERS MAGAZINE TEAM WERE DELIGHTED TO HEAR THAT ROSIE DAVIES, THE LONDON FASHION AGENCY FOUNDER AND DIRECTOR, HAS WON GREAT BRITISH CREATIVE ENTREPRENEUR OF THE YEAR.

It has been announced that Wirral born, John Moores Graduate and now sessional Fashion Communications lecturer, Rosie Davies, has won an award in the creative category at the Great British Entrepreneur Awards. After graduating from Textile Design in 2009, Rosie moved to London and started The London Fashion Agency (LFA).

The Great British Entrepreneur Awards which took place on 22nd November at the Lancaster London Hotel celebrated entrepreneurs who embody a spirit of disruption, innovation and enterprise, recognising business leaders from multiple industries across the 20 awards categories, to which there were over 600 applicants. Previous winners include Julie Deane MBE, founder of the Cambridge Satchel Company, James Watt, co-founder of Brewdog and Alexander Solomou, founder of Lad Bible.

LFA grows Brands. Director Rosie realised that brands want to know two things when it comes to fashion services: what am I getting and how much does it cost? With this mission statement in mind, 29 year old Rosie went from being a fashion intern to founder and agency director. In just a few years she has managed to cut all unnecessary costs and re-define traditional PR and Marketing agency services.

Rosie grew up in Wallasey, Wirral and moved to Liverpool to study Textile Design at JMU aged 18. She now is a visiting lecturer on the Fashion Communication course at the University.

Rosie says “When I think about my time in Liverpool and at John Moores I feel so honored to have been part of such a wonderful university and city. I am so thankful to Lesley and Anne who taught me back then and who I teach alongside now. Their honesty and support whilst I was there and after I left has been incredible. Liverpool is one of the most inspiring cities in the world and I feel overwhelmed every time I come back. I owe everything to this city.”

People probably think I am crazy as this isn’t the normal path to take but winning this award means that I can finally show my family and friends that I am not only doing something I am passionate about but I am doing it well.”
