Regular readers of His & Hers Magazine will know that we are dedicated to searching out the best; the best places to eat, the best fashion, the best in style, in short the best. One thing we’re never on the lookout for is the worst. We realised this talking to a male His & Hers reviewer who told us about the worst Christmas presents he’d been given, in his case shoes, from dayglow trainers to the nightmare of novelty slippers. Upset by his plight we decided to find the best shoe company to show him that beautifully hand crafted footwear is still out there, so we introduced him to Billy Ruffian Ltd.

WORDS: Richard Hill

With ‘Walk well’ their motto and their commitment to sourcing their material and building their shoes with the utmost integrity, those we gave our reviewer to test walk were all that we expected. We chose their luxury suede brogues for a comfortable Christmas, expertly crafted, from their real leather soles to the beautiful stitching of the suede. As a measure of Billy Ruffians’ care and attention to detail, when we opened the box they arrived in each shoe was nestling in an elegant tie bag to protect them for their journey, and as an extra treat a pair of their stylish socks were included.
