Open from 22nd-26th July from 10am to 6.30pm (except on Sunday, when the show closes at 5pm.

This year’s show has three themed zones: Inspire, Feast and Grow.

His & Hers Magazine’s Highlights:

‘The Perennial Legacy Garden’, with stunningly beautiful natural planting, designed by Paul Hervey-Brookes, won Best Show Garden. Styal Prison’s, ‘Picking up the Pieces’, designed and built by female prisoners is inspirational with exquisite planting, and has helped the prisoners remake their lives.

The International Year of Light is celebrated with three Year of Light Gardens. The Young Designer of the Year has proved popular and teams new-comers with an experienced mentor.

The show is a fabulous day out: the Great Garden Carnival Parade will feature zinging percussion and beautiful butterflies. You can take a spin on the spectacular Flowery Ferris Wheel and Colourful Carousel.

Ladies Day, on Friday 24th July, features the Graduate Fashion Show from the Manchester School of Art and the Best Dressed Lady competition.

His & Hers was impressed to note that you can speak to growers at the Potting Bench in the Floral Marquee for in depth gardening tips. Alternatively, try the British Florist Association workshops that demonstrate how to make buttonholes, floral cupcakes and other artistic creations.
