Everyone has a Grand National story. When still a school girl I placed a bet (was that even legal) on a 100/5 total outsider and won. My only regret! As a family we always shared our winnings. Not really a regret. Such a fun day. We used to meet, as a family, at the Chester races every year, and on occasion, with friends at the National. Now I just hope for sunny weather for Ladies Day, for all those fabulous women in glorious outfits that will not bear bad weather. The hospitality on offer is a sure thing: not a long shot at all. You can bet your shirt on it.
