A LOCAL GARDEN DESIGNER’S WORK HAS FEATURED IN ITV’S THE HOME GAME.
Bootle-based Suzanne Fletcher, who has been designing and building gardens for over 25 years, transformed one of the gardens featured in The Home Game – a home make over show that focuses on the best bit – the transformation and the price.
The Home Game episode (shown on Wednesday 1st March) saw Suzanne and her team transform the garden of Orrel Park-based Sue Benson and her family and reveals the value added by the Mediterranean-style outdoor investment.
Suzanne said: “Sue’s garden was a really interesting project, not only were we focusing on creating a social and usable space for a family of four, but we were battling with history to get the job done – it was a lovely surprise to find an Anderson shelter during the build!
“Investing in your home isn’t just about improving the inside, outdoor space can not only add a sense of uniqueness to your home but also value.”
Each episode of The Home Game features four properties and their owners who are about to embark on a home renovation – from high-end kitchen extensions to bedrooms on a budget; restorations and rebuilds to gardens and garage conversions.
At the beginning of each of the four stories the show discovers how much the house is worth and the budget. At the end it’s revealed how much was spent and how much the house is now worth. Whoever has made the most profit is the winner of The Home Game.
Home owner, Sue Benson said: “We’re delighted with the results of the our garden transformation – it wasn’t about adding value to our home, but giving us a Mediterranean haven to enjoy all-year round – we’re really grateful to Suzanne and the team for creating the space.”
