Now that meeting friends for cocktails, or even booking a holiday, is an option again, many of us are easing ourselves back into things with some low-key socialising. We may even contemplate donning heels again soon (although the His & Hers team isn’t ready to give up stretch fabrics any time soon!)
If you’re keen to make some plans with your closest friends or family, The Dixie Dean Hotel (which was named after Everton football legend, William Ralph ‘Dixie’ Dean) will be offering ‘the best night out, but in’.
The hotel may be best known for its football theme (just click on football hotel Liverpool to pay a visit to the website) and rooms within the Grade II listed building have been decorated in Evertonian blue. However, you don’t need a passion for football to enjoy your time at the hotel.
If you’re missing your pre-pandemic social life, but want an alternative to going ‘out out’, The Dixie Dean is offering a middle ground in the form of ‘Pillow Club’, which involves a live DJ feed to the hotel’s bedrooms.
The Pillow Club initiative was successfully trialled in December 2020 and will be returning every Friday from 21st May. Conceived as ‘the best night out, but in’, The Pillow Club is for adult social bubbles and includes a live DJ feed to the hotel’s luxury rooms, allowing guests to enjoy a Covid-safe and exciting night of entertainment.
For those of us that have become accustomed to earlier nights than usual during the lockdown, not having to wait for a taxi home, but having a comfortable bed ready and waiting could prove a definite bonus.
What the Dixie Dean website says: “Designed with a difference, our luxury rooms and suites offer everything you could wish for. Equipped with a range of rich features, from whirlpool baths to copper tubs, TVs and unique themed decor, it’s time to relax and unwind at The Dixie Dean Hotel.
“While each room offers something unique, all share the unmistakable blend of comfort, style and elegance. From plush double rooms, to large group accommodation that can sleep up to eight people, The Dixie Dean Hotel is the perfect destination to create wonderful memories with friends and family.”
The Guide also noted that the hotel features a 160-cover restaurant and bar, No.9, named after the striker’s shirt number, which was opened in July 2019, so if you decide to extend your stay for brunch, lunch, or a few more drinks, you won’t be short of options.
We’re very proud to bring you this feature in association with the Dixie Dean Hotel. For more features, please pay a visit to our regularly updated lifestyle page.
