OH ME OH MAMA HAS ANNOUNCED THE LAUNCH OF THEIR #MAKEAMAMASMILE CAMPAIGN, WHERE ONE NEW MUM WILL BE CHOSEN EACH MONTH TO RECEIVE A SPECIAL HAND PICKED GIFT BOX TO HELP QUELL THEIR BABY BLUES AFTER PREGNANCY.
Alishia Thomas, Founder of Oh Me Oh Mama told us: ‘Many seem to forget about mum when a new baby is brought into the world. People queue for days on end to coo over tiny little newborns, with mothers feeling left out’
‘These early days are most important for mums as this is when the baby blues usually kick in with symptoms occurring frequently in approximately 30-80% of women.
‘For some new mothers these feelings may develop into a condition known as postnatal depression (PND), and unlike the ‘baby blues’, post natal depression does not go away quickly and new mothers are likely to need additional support.
‘We hope the #MAKEAMAMASMILE campaign will be used as a way to put emphasis back on mum. Our gift boxes are designed around mamas in a bid to make them smile and let them know we’ve got their backs.’
