THE MD PRODUCTIONS TEAM HAVE JUST RETURNED FROM A SUCCESSFUL TRIP TO ABU DHABI, WHERE THEY PERFORMED AS PART OF THE FORMULA 1 GRAND PRIX ENTERTAINMENT LINE-UP.

On Thursday 23rd November MD Productions flew out to Abu Dhabi for the second year running to
perform as part of the top 10 entertainment line-up at the Formula 1 Grand Prix, held at the Yas Marina Circuit.

After successfully securing sponsorship from Florida Property Corner, they were able to take an additional 10 young people from their CIC project, Blank Canvas, to join the six company dancers booked for the commercial contract through Stories by Zinaida, Project Management Company, and upcoming girl band, Girl Talk.

Over the past few months the 22 performers have been in a gruelling rehearsal schedule preparing them for this world-renowned event, which all paid off when crowds gathered to watch and applaud them on their captivating performances held in both the West Oasis and F1 Fanzone on the main stage.

Daisy Dunn, who is 14 and is one of the young performers on the Blank Canvas Project, said: “Before I performed I felt nervous but afterwards I couldn’t wait to do it all over again. The whole experience was a big highlight; I couldn’t choose just one best moment. I am very grateful for the opportunity and still feel overwhelmed by it all.”

Whilst in Abu Dhabi, MD Productions had the pleasure of joining up with KICK Audio, an equipment hire company from Liverpool responsible for running the main stage and other performance areas across the Yas Marina Circuit, for the second year.

Owner of KICK Audio, Peter Jeffrey, said; “This is the second year that I have had the pleasure of supplying production support for MD Productions as they performed again alongside this year’s race entertainment at Abu Dhabi F1.

“I find Miguel, his dancers and the band Girl Talk to be extremely professional, courteous and respectful to all our engineers and staff. They are a pleasure to work with and should be proud that they represent themselves and Merseyside in such a way.”

Carrying the success of 2017 into 2018, MD Productions kick off the New Year with the move into their new home within The Tapestry on Kempston Street in January. As an expanding business creative director of MD Productions, Miguel Doforo decided it was time for the company to find a new HQ after having rented space in various buildings over the past few years.

“2017 has been an absolutely fantastic year for MD Productions and has laid the building blocks for 2018; devising new programmes, exciting new partnerships, growing our team and getting ready for the opening of our new home. I feel like this is our very own Blank Canvas within our business as we get ready for chapter two – the re-birth of MD Productions, and I am excited to see what is next” said Miguel Doforo.
