NORTH-WEST JEWELLERY RETAILER, MOCOCO, MARKED A DECADE IN BUSINESS WITH A SPECIAL DAY OF CELEBRATIONS ACROSS THE BRAND’S SIX NORTH WEST STORES, GIVING AWAY A GRAND PRIZE POT WORTH OVER £13,000.
Over 21,000 entrants participated in the prize draw through My Mococo – the independent and family-run retailer’s loyalty scheme. Six finalists were invited to a special announcement event held at the brand’s flagship Chester store on September 3, 2016.
Five shoppers were each announced as runners-up, receiving a £1,000 gift card to spend in store. Sandra Lewis, 51, from Chester, was hand-picked from entries to the prize draw as the overall winner. Sandra received £5,000 to spend on luxury jewellery from affordable designer brands including Pandora, ChloBo, Thomas Sabo, Clogau, Swarovski, Michael Kors, Shaun Leane alongside Mococo’s own collection of unique jewellery designed by Mococo founder, Maureen Hooson.

Overall winner, Sandra, had kept her finalist status quiet from family, saying; “I didn’t believe it was real! I was told I was a finalist and so I knew I’d won at least £1,000 to spend, but I just didn’t think it could be true, and so I didn’t mention it to my family. To then win the star prize was incredible and left me speechless!”
Sandra contacted her mother, Pat, following the annoucement who joined her at Mococo’s Chester store revealing that Sandra, mum Pat and sister Dawn each have a Thomas Sabo charm bracelet in memory of husband and dad, Fred Blamey who sadly passed away in 2014.
Pat said: “We’ve loved coming into Mococo to get our charms. Everything is laid out beautifully and nothing is too much trouble. Staff are so helpful and even sourced charms direct from Germany for us, as we always need three of the same on our matching bracelet.”
Sandra added: “We have been coming to Mococo to add to our jewellery collection since my Dad passed away. Every anniversary, birthday or special occasion in his memory, we like to buy a charm for our bracelets to signify that moment and remember him by. It is the most special and important thing that I own.”
All finalists, and overall winner Sandra, will now enjoy a sumptuous evening of excusive one-to-one personal shopping at a Mococo store of their choice, opening late just for them to have time to peruse over luxury jewellery collections from their favourite affodable designer brands. Over £3,000 worth of additional prizes in the form of specially selected jewellery pieces were also given away as part of the celebrations in Mococo stores located in Chester, Liverpool, Birkenhead, Wrexham, Ruthin and Mold.
