PINS Social Club has opened in Liverpool, bringing a different experience to everyone who steps through the door. It looks likely to transform the city’s nightlife into a fun, frantic ‘helter-skelter’ of activities. So much to do: all fun.
PINS Social Club will feature 12 custom-built full-sized bowling lanes split across two floors. There is an impressive, casual dining area, a karaoke booth, shuffleboard, pool, table tennis, live music, and DJs. It boasts one of Liverpool’s longest and most well-stocked bars. They had me at table tennis.
This is a total transformation, fashioned out of a concrete parking space, that has created over 60 new jobs. It comprises 16,000 sq. ft., 600 capacity, which is set to become an iconic social hangout. It is a dynamic new addition to a thriving, and fast developing area of the city.
This is a venue that invokes an era of bowling and social clubs, that conjures up the 60s and 70s: yet still provides up-to-date entertainment. The retro theme is played out in the drinks menu, music and period décor. Choose from an array of milkshakes both alcoholic and non-alcoholic, sodas, spectacular cocktails, craft beers and stunning wines. Be ready to dance the night away to live music four nights a week or get competitive. PINS Social Club has teamed up with Bacaro and Rocket & Ruby, who have developed tantalising dishes, sure to appeal. Work up a real appetite and then feast.
Daniel Gillbanks and David Scowcroft, creators of PINS Social Club and directors at D2, which are behind the development, expressed their views. “After years in the planning, we’re really excited to be opening the doors to PINS Social Club and introducing something brand new and totally different to Liverpool.
“Over the last few years, Duke Street has developed into one of Liverpool’s most up-and-coming areas and that’s exactly why we decided to make the street…our brand-new home. The venue looks absolutely fantastic and we can’t wait for everyone to see it.”
The rooftop terrace bar will open in spring: it promises to become a city hot spot when the sun starts to shine. It will be a prime spot for the discerning drinker. There is a wide range of top-shelf spirits, a variety of both classic and original cocktails, and quality wines and beers on offer.
Daniel Gillbanks added: “The nightlife scene is changing. People don’t want to just go out and have a drink, they want to be entertained and do something fun: what we call competitive socialising. PINS Social Club is the perfect place for date nights, groups of friends and students, plus we’ll have family sessions available in the daytime. We’ve got an amazing line up of live music from DJ sets to band performances. First-class food and drink, complete with waiter service (combine to make this a totally relaxing venue)… we’re confident PINS is going to become one of Liverpool’s top leisure destinations.”
The choice is all yours. Be energetic: be sporty: be laid-back, or be a bar-fly. Be whatever. Until you step through the door, you won’t know what the lure might be. Take the plunge: you might surprise yourself.
