IT HAPPENED JUST AT THAT PERFECT MOMENT, STRAIGHT AFTER DEADLINE, AND BEFORE THE NEXT PHOTO-SHOOT. SEIZING THE MOMENT, WE BOOKED IN WITH SARAH JANE BEFORE A CAFÉ ROUGE REVIEW AT MCARTHUR GLEN. WITH A SPRING IN OUR STEP, WE SET OFF FOR CHESTER, TO HAVE OUR HAIR AND MAKE-UP EXPERTLY DONE.

Rebecca Jayne is located close to Chester Cathedral and the new Storyhouse Theatre, Cinema and Library. We were warmly welcomed into the cosy, stylish studio. Then in no time whilst hair was being shampooed and conditioned for one, make-up was being expertly applied to the other. Rebecca enquired about beauty routines, whilst recommending brands depending on age and skin type.

Rebecca Jayne’s make-up recommendations:

For the mature woman, she recommends Estée Lauder’s CC foundation that colour corrects redness or sallowness, and lightens and subtly brightens skin tone. On a day when you need a boost, Clarins Beauty Flash Balm works wonders: apply it before your make-up as a radiance booster, and watch your make-up glide on like a dream. Rebecca tends to use a treasured and varied range of beauty products, thoroughly tried and tested. She chose Bobbi Brown Natural Brow Shaper for me, and a wonderful dull green/old gold metallic eyeshadow that I loved. She checked for my preferences throughout the process, and I felt a real sense of well-being, in the hands of a real make-up expert. It was a relaxing fun experience, and the results were really impressive.

Rebecca works with Stuart, who is a hairdresser who adores what he does, and has great talent and flair. He chose to work with the natural curl in my hair, and I loved the result that was natural and yet rather stylish, with an added sheen. And I have to say, it lasted really well. It was a brilliant way to prepare for a fun day out and about, and is a confidence booster second to none. Rebecca is the go to person for special occasions and events when you want to look fabulous.
