RISE AND SHINE LIVERPOOL LAUNCHED BACK IN AUGUST AS THE ONLY EVENT TO GET THE PARTY STARTED ON A SATURDAY MORNING, INSTEAD OF WAITING FOR SATURDAY NIGHT.
Replacing booze with smoothies, a range of healthy drinks and a plant-based brunch, hosts Rainbow City welcomed crowds in excess of 150 people per week to District House for five weeks running. Now, following a short hiatus and the successful five-day takeover of Ibiza’s iconic Es Vive Hotel, Rainbow City is back in Liverpool for a Christmas Rise and Shine on Saturday 17th December.
Thanks to the momentum of September’s parties and the recent Rise and Shine Ibiza, the Christmas event is looking likely to sell out the massive District House on Water Street. From 10am on the 17th December, guests will be welcomed into a chilled out bar vibe with great music, a chance to chat and the option of some vegan friendly brunch, followed by live music, guided meditations and sets from a few top DJs. When the party draws to a close at 2pm it will be followed by a vegan Christmas dinner.
The huge success of Rise and Shine earlier in the year proved that Liverpool is ready for something fresh from the social scene, that keeps things healthy and high energy. Virtue at Es Vive – a project that saw the Rainbow City Tribe take over one of the White Isle’s best known hotels for the last week in October – indicates that the trend is not limited to the Northwest. Virtue opened with Rise and Shine Ibiza and kept the plant-powered party going all week with regular yoga sessions, meditations and dance parties.
Anthony Lowther, Founder of Rainbow City said: “Rainbow City is about creating healthy alternatives to the things we all love to do. With Rise and Shine we’re aiming to give people the best party they’ve ever been to, without the toxins, the hangover and the down days that usually follow. Hundreds of people in Liverpool and Ibiza would definitely now agree with us that you don’t need to be drunk to have a good time!
“We’re going all out for Christmas with some surprises, as well as some ideas tried and tested in the party capital of the world, that will make it really magical. I’ve been hosting parties for years in London and Ibiza and this event on 17th December in Liverpool is going to rank amongst the biggest. The atmosphere will be amazing.”
Andy Duckworth, Director of District House said: “When we agreed, earlier in the year, that District House would host Rise and Shine we had no idea how well replacing our entire bar menu with smoothies and fresh juices would go. Every week, Saturday morning was as buzzing as Saturday night. We’re really looking forward to having the Rainbow City team back for Rise and Shine’s Christmas special.”
Rainbow City also seeks to make a plant-based lifestyle accessible and enjoyable, so the Rise and Shine Christmas special will be immediately followed by a full vegan Christmas dinner feast, for which a limited number of tickets are still available. Party tickets can be bought through Eventbrite (riseandshine-christmas.
