OUR FRIENDS AT IL FORNO AND SAPPORO HAVE THE ANSWER!
IL FORNO, DUKE STREET
What better way to impress mum this Mother’s Day than with three courses of Il Forno’s award-winning Italian cuisine? Enjoy three authentic courses for just £24.95, or two courses for £19.95, with a free glass of prosecco for mums, at the Duke Street eatery. Feast on starters ranging from smoked Scottish salmon with a beetroot and cucumber cannelloni to a trio of homemade bruschetta; mains including fresh vegetarian pasta, comforting Italian sausages or a wild boar stewed in red wine; and a range of homely desserts crafted by the co-owner Donato’s wife, a pastry chef.
Indeed, Il Forno is a true family restaurant (it’s run by two Italian brothers), making it the ideal spot to say thanks to mum.
Naturally, children are more than welcome too, with two smaller courses available for £9.95. Kids are sure to love Il Forno’s famous wood-fire pizza, which last year saw the restaurant take home ‘England’s Best Pizza’ in the English Italian Awards.

SAPPORO TEPPANYAKI, DUKE STREET
The thrilling teppanyaki experience – which sees chefs prepare meals before your very eyes at a table around the hotplate – makes for an extra special Mother’s Day treat.
Sapporo, Liverpool’s only teppanyaki experience on Duke Street in the city centre, is offering three courses for £25 per person, with a complimentary glass of bubbly for mum. Indulge on a large variety of Asian delights ranging from fresh sushi to teriyaki lamb or Sapporo’s famous pork ribs. Each course will be prepared before you in Sapporo’s signature theatrical style – beware, potatoes can fly!
Very family-friendly (the kids certainly won’t get bored) and always a great option for vegetarians too.
