FAMILIES ARE INVITED TO TAKE PART IN A FUN-FILLED ADVENTURE DAY INVOLVING SOME OF LIVERPOOL’S BIGGEST ATTRACTIONS AS PART OF NORTH WEST CANCER RESEARCH’S #SUNCREAMSELFIE SUMMER EVENT.
Fun for children of all ages, join the charity for an afternoon of fun activities at Royal Albert Dock Liverpool which will keep the kids entertained, including making maracas, private story time and the chance to make painting tools inspired by some of the city’s most exciting artwork.
The free activities are centred around the Beatles Story’s Discovery Zone as well as Tate Liverpool and Mattel Play! Liverpool.
Families can then head over to the British Music Experience where they will have a chance to make a UV bracelet or key ring which changes colour in the sun as a fun reminder to wear sun cream.
There will also be a chance to win a year’s supply of sun cream provided by the event’s sun cream partner SunSense UK, as well as free family tickets at the attractions taking part and a £50 Voucher for a local restaurant.
Alastair Richards, CEO at North West Cancer Research said: “We’ve been working all summer-long to take our sun safety message to the people of Liverpool as part of our #suncreamselfie campaign.
“With school children now on their summer break it’s never been more important to promote a positive association with applying sun cream and staying safe when out in the sun.
“We’ve teamed up with Liverpool’s most popular family attractions to create a series of interesting and fun activities, which will not only keep the kids entertained but share an important message at the same time.”
North West Cancer Research launched its #suncreamselfie campaign in May and it will run until the end of August.
The charity is urging people all over the North West to get creative when applying sun cream, take a selfie and upload it to social media with the hash tag #suncreamselfie.
Stars from reality TV show Real Housewives of Cheshire including Katie Kane and Tanya Bardsley have already backed the campaign sharing their #suncreamselfies online.
The #suncreamselfie family event is free and will run from 9th – 11th August from 12pm – 4pm starting at the Beatles Story at Royal Albert Dock Liverpool.
