THE CITY’S FASHIONISTAS ARE ADDING THE FINISHING TOUCHES TO THEIR STYLISH OUTFITS AND COUNTING DOWN THE DAYS TO THIS WEEKEND’S FASHION AND BEAUTY EXTRAVAGANZA AT THE SPECTACULAR ST GEORGE’S HALL LIVERPOOL.


 

The city’s fashionistas are adding the finishing touches to their stylish outfits and counting down the days to this weekend’s fashion and beauty extravaganza at the spectacular St George’s Hall Liverpool.

The North West Fashion Festival is back bigger and better for its third consecutive year, promising visitors an event bursting with glamour, celebrities and everything needed to perfect the latest trends for the coming season.

The two day North West Fashion Festival 2016 takes place this Saturday and Sunday, 22 and 23 October, in the Great Hall at St George’s Hall Liverpool.

The event continues to grow year on year and is now regarded one of the region’s biggest fashion and beauty events. St George’s Hall is the host venue for the first time – the ultimate backdrop to showcase all that is glamorous and sophisticated from across the region.

The North West Fashion Festival 2016 is well supported by the region’s most stylish celebrities including the stars of ITVBe’s The Real Housewives Of Cheshire Tanya Bardsley, Dawn Ward and Leanne Brown; Liverpool model Abbey Clancy; Katie Salmon and Hannah Elizabeth from Love Island; North West model Sam Reece; X Factor finalist Keira Wethers; and current X Factor contestants girl band Skarlett.

The weekend will feature catwalk shows from local fashion designers and national brands, shopping and pampering,entertainment, as well as a full programme of Q&As, panel discussions, demonstrations and masterclasses from leading fashion and beauty experts.

The fashionistas of tomorrow are also well catered for on the Sunday with the spotlight falling on childrenswear catwalk shows.

The festival starts on Saturday (22 October) when the doors open at 3pm. Liverpool-based MD Productions – who shot to fame on Britain’s Got Talent – will open the event at 4pm with an energetic dance performance. This will be followed by X Factor finalist Keira Wethers, and catwalk shows from Nünude, menswear and Loved And Found from John Lewis, and Beverley May Design.

At 4.30pm, celebrity make-up artist Katie Hayes will give a masterclass, followed by a masterclass from Electric HairLondon – ideal to get those insider tips to create a flawless look accompanied by shiny healthy tresses.

Singer Darby Ward, daughter of Real Housewives Of Cheshire’s Dawn Ward, will perform at 6pm. This will be followed by an insight into Lavish Alice, with a question and answer session and catwalk show. Don’t miss performances from X Factor’s Tom and Laura; and catwalk shows from Miss Francesca Couture, KU Spendlove, and Jorna Jayne Active Wear from Debenhams.

To close the show on Saturday, from 7pm there will a performance from Girl Talk, and a catwalk show from Green Eyed Monster Couture. The spotlight will then fall on celebrities taking to the catwalk. Model Sam Reece will be launching his collection, while Love Island’s Hannah Elizabeth will model for Mode Mwah and co-star Katie Salmon models forProdigal Fox.

Sunday has a strong family focus with the emphasis on designer childrenswear, which is reflected in the earlier opening time of 1pm.

Catwalk activity starts at 2pm with the proceedings again being opened by MD Productions and X Factor’s Tom and Laura. Then it’s catwalk shows from Tracey Miller Runway; Patty Fashion; High Street brand John Lewis launches its new contemporary childrenswear brand Margarita Kids; as well as the latest styles from top brand Leigh Taylor, who now have a concession in Topshop and specialise in matching fashion for style savvy mums and daughters.

At 4pm expect performances from local singer, songwriter Clare Sophia, and catwalk shows from Lavish Alice and celebrity fashion designer Mode Mwah.

Footballer’s wife, fashion designer and star of The Real Housewives Of Cheshire, Leanne Brown, will also be showcasing her childrenswear range Kiss Frogs and answering questions about the collection. The designs will bemodelled on the St George’s Hall catwalk by her very own daughters – Lola aged five and nine-year-old Lilia.

Leanne’s 13-year-old daughter Halle will also be modelling on the catwalk – for Melanie Louise designer childrenswear.Melanie Louise is the hottest ‘go to’ brand for stylish fashion for little ones – and it’s certainly a big hit with celebrity mums, including Coleen Rooney, Sheree Murphy and Alex Gerrard. Melanie Louise stock the most sought after children’s brands including, Roberto Cavalli, Kenzo, D Squared, Monalissa and many more.

Mini festivalgoers can feel part of the fun by visiting the Go Glitter stand, to have the most magical and glamorous facepainting designs they’ll be thrilled to sport. It’s a perfect mum and daughter day out.

The day’s final catwalk shows and entertainment start at 5.30pm with a performance from Girl Talk; followed by collections from Rebecca Mutch; Melanie Louise; and final appearances by Sam Reece and Love Island’s Katie Salmon for Prodigal Fox.
