About The Hay Loft
The Grade II listed building is the former bar of the Golf Club and was originally a store area for the stable hand who used to look after the horses of the Fletcher family who the estate was originally built for in the 1800s. The Fletcher family sold the Golf Club to Liverpool City Council in 1920 and it became Allerton Park Golf Club in 1924.
Refurbishment work started in The Hay Loft in 2017; the original oak beams and floor were restored, and new features were added to bring a more modern feel to the room. The design team were keen to ensure the space retained its unique and original character yet had a contemporary feel to it. The addition of the arched window and real fireplace lends itself perfectly to this luxurious space.
The Hay Loft is an approved wedding venue in Liverpool for Civil Marriages and Civil Partnerships and can hold up to 80 guests for the ceremony and wedding breakfast and a further 40 guests for the evening celebrations. The room is has a private bar and terrace and is the perfect venue for birthdays, christenings, celebrations, funerals and BBQ’s.
