It’s quite amazing how much of this world there is to explore, enjoying the ultimate travel experiences. While it can feel as though the world is smaller than ever due to the internet and broadcast materials bringing us closer than ever, on top of easier travel accessibility, it’s true that this planet has room for over 7.5 billion of us, and more every day. That’s true even with great tracks of land unoccupied or developed by humans.
This means that no matter how ardent a traveller you are, you simply cannot see everything. What matters is making the most of that you do see, and accepting that is the start of a great adventure. But how do you do this? By giving yourself at least three weeks in every place you visit? But then what of shorter trips and areas you travel through on the way to another location? Might we make the most of our short-term residences at the same time?
It can be hard to know how to approach your next adventure with this in mind. That’s why we’ve collected some advice to help you on your way:
A Travel Photojournal Or Video Project
It can be nice to have something to look back on after you finish your wonderful adventure, and as such, documenting your experience can be a great idea. Visit Pixa Prints for an idea of how your photographs can be lovingly rendered and expressed, as this can be much more special than simply throwing everything up on Instagram.

You may also wish to create a small video project while you’re there. Many people are finding that phone cameras or simple attachment cameras give their experiences an easy-to-record ‘vlogging’ quality, no matter if you’re skiing down the side of a mountain or simply walking in the beautiful Australian outback. Whenever you come back and start to work on the footage, you get to once again live and breathe that experience, while showing it to others with pride.
Bring Along Appropriate People
Your travel experience is often comprised of where you go, but also who you bring with you. Not everyone you know is suitable for every single vacation you hope to go on. For instance, it can be lovely to have a long-form familial adventure with your grandparents, heading to a beautiful resort or cruise where the ease of experience and social dining can grant you all a set of wonderful memories.

Yet it may also be worthwhile to take on more challenging ventures, such as hiking across countries with a friend, or engaging in a long road trip. It may also be that a cousin of yours has a real reverence for historical culture and so your backpacking trip around Europe can be convenient, cheap, and thoroughly educational. The more you bring along appropriate people for the vacation you’re planning, the better your experience will be. Of course, ensure they also share your enthusiasm, and discuss just what plans you may have in mind ahead of time.
Try A Solo Adventure
Why not try a solo adventure once in a while? You needn’t walk the length of the coast in order to give yourself a grand adventure to partake in. Perhaps you’ll simply go join an international hiking group with lodgings and spend your time meeting new people. Perhaps you’ll visit all of your family members that live internationally, one after the other, over a course of a few years. Solo adventures can be tremendously freeing provided you’re organised, and they can also gift you the chance of partaking in exactly that which you find interesting, and nothing more. Sometimes, that can be the best way of squeezing the most from your vacation expenditure.

Go For A Purpose
While it can be nice to head to a location to soak in the culture and see what you can find while there, it’s also a good idea to head on your travels for a certain purpose, no matter how indulgent that purpose is. Perhaps you’re absolutely enthralled by the idea of visiting a range of Cathedrals in Italy, or maybe you simply wish to visit a range of authentic Italian restaurants that are celebrated within the country. This latter reason could be just as important to you – sometimes heaven is found on a plate, and that’s certainly more common in Italy.
When all is said and done, we hope the prior advice can help you squeeze the most out of your travel experiences, and thus make the most of your time on this earth.
