• Plastic: Not as common as wood lamination, plastic lamination floors are made from photo imposed fiber board designs. Depending upon the design, you have rich availability of choice in terms of shape and texture.

• Stone and tile: The planks will look like stones and tiles due to their texture. Individual tiles in these cases can range from 12–24 inches square. Easy to install, they’re likely to attract admiring glances from your house guests.

When you have figured out which type of laminate flooring you are going with, you can install it in two ways: with glue and without glue. Glue acts a supporting adhesive for planks. You can get planks which need glue for their application or you can opt for pre glue equipped planks but remember, you need to be absolutely spot on and therefore, cannot mess with the joining of pre glue equipped planks, since some edges of those planks have to be dampened. In case of non-glue installation, you need to get specific type of planks which are fixed upon using the right method. Non-glue installation also comes with type of attached underlay, which offers impressive sound reduction properties.
