The fabulous Mencap Liverpool & Sefton are revamping their café with the help of Channel 4’s ‘Find It, Fix It, Flog It’ presenter and upcycler Gemma Longworth.

The café is full of quality preloved furniture. However, it’s looking a little tired and dated. In a bid to bring
more people into their café and raise money for this wonderful charity, they are having a sustainable overhaul.

Mencap Liverpool is a local, independent charity that promotes equality for people with a learning disability – helping them to discover new opportunities, make new friends, and feel valued and safe in their community.

The charity will be upcycling all of their furniture into one of a kind, conversation starters. Gemma, the Mencap members and a team of volunteers will be transforming boring into brilliant with the help of a
team of local artists including: Sean Webster, Lena and the Sea and clothing upcycler Buy by Bethan.
Sustainability, creativity and skill sharing is at the heart of this project, bringing members, volunteers and artists together to create an inspiring, welcoming safe space for everyone.
