Liverpool FC has a range of gift ideas that are ideal for this festive season. From stocking fillers to extra special gifts, there is something for all budgets. I was impressed by the quality of the sweaters and tops. And I loved the fun element in choosing stocking fillers, and the great range of toys.
It is the 125 Year anniversary of Liverpool Football Club. And to commemorate there is a pewter tankard, embossed with a LFC Liverbird. I happened upon a piece of history from Istanbul 2005. A replica shirt to celebrate the epic Champions League victory made me smile at the memory. You can relive great football moments with Steven Gerrard’s ‘My Story’.
‘Where Legends Are Made’ encapsulates LFC Edition Pro Evolution Soccer 2018. It promises to be an unparalleled gameplay experience. The clothes range for small people is enticing and appealing. It could inspire a wonderful career.
The Interactive Tour of the Main Stand is no small undertaking. It spans five levels (there are lifts) and takes in the legendary Anfield pitch and views down to the Mersey. Walk down the players’ ‘tunnel’ and hear the roar of the Kop. You can stand in the dug-out and, interactively, watch the antics of Klopp when he gets over-excited. In the actual players’ changing room you can scan over players’ shirts. Only the shirt, not the actual player. You will get visuals and background on that player. The tour guides are friendly, really well informed and never get lost!
Lunch was a grand affair. There are over 250 chefs working at LFC. ‘The Beautiful Game’ (part of the New Stand) is a space that can cater for a conference, an event or that special celebration. We were welcomed into a state of the art hospitality suite. You can enjoy haute cuisine, and get a grand-stand view on match day. The food is superb. Best hake ever. Tastiest roast potatoes ever. We were chatting happily, then suddenly, all went quiet. Daniel Sturridge had arrived to do a question and answer session.
He had scored a crucial goal at the weekend game. It turned out to be his 100th league goal. He dashed off a drawing of Santa, and signed it to support a charity. He explained that he listened to professional feedback and to those whose opinions he valued. He does not access social media on match days. Committed to constantly learning and improving his game, he is inspirational. There is a positive buzz in the air. What a great day.
