We are moving towards retail shops opening up again and some schools taking in more children within the next few weeks. Just before we lift the lid, ever so slightly, it seemed a good time to celebrate the help and support out there in local communities.

Liverpool FC shoot for the stars and the fans
When the football season was first put on hold, there was an immediate need to help out one local charity. Twenty five percent of all donations to the North Liverpool Foodbank come from Liverpool home games. With no football, there was a big gap to fill.
The players made a £20k donation which the LFC Foundation, matched. That plugged the gap and a bit more.
There has also been academic content put together, that involves working with the Premier League ‘All Stars’ programme.
Steven Gerrard donates £5,00 to Trussell Trust food-banks
The contribution from the former Liverpool captain, now manager of Rangers, will benefit the Trussell Trust Foodbank network and helps LFC Foundation meet their goals!
