BIERKELLER ENTERTAINMENT COMPLEX IN THE HEART OF LIVERPOOL ONE WILL SEE A HOST OF LIVERPOOL AND EVERTON FOOTBALL LEGENDS UNITE FOR THE OLIVER KING FOUNDATION ON 19TH APRIL FROM 7PM.
Dietmar Hamann, Alan Kennedy, Steve Watson and Graeme Sharp will be in attendance at the exclusive event which will include a meet and greet, questions and answers session and the opportunity for guests to have photographs taken with the football legends and obtain some amazing football memorabilia.
The Liverpool and Everton Legends event will benefit the Oliver King Foundation, with £5 donated from the sale of every ticket. The Oliver King Foundation was founded in memory of Oliver King, who attended King David Primary school and started at King David High School in September 2010. He was a keen sportsman who excelled in football, swimming, athletics and many other sports. Oliver passed away suddenly in March 2011, aged 12, from Sudden Arrhythmic Death Syndrome (SADS).
There are 30,000 cardiac arrests in the UK every year, with less than 1 in 10 surviving to be discharged from hospital. This statistic highlights how vital defibrillators are across our communities. Without access to defibrillators, chances of survival dramatically decrease every minute. Bierkeller will be one of the first bars in Liverpool to install a defibrillator and they hope that other bars will follow suit.
Sudden Arrhythmic Death Syndrome usually affects people between the ages of 12 and 35. The Government recognises that 12 young people each week die from SADS but it is believed that the true figure is around 16-19 people each week, a figure which could be even higher considering that the condition is often misdiagnosed.
Tickets to the Liverpool and Everton Legends event cost £30, including beer and a burger, raffle ticket and a £5 donation to the Oliver King Foundation. Tickets are available via Skiddle and Eventbrite.
