COMEDIENNE PAULINE DANIELS AND CHARLIE DOWER FROM THE BBC SHOW ‘FLOG IT’ WERE AMONG THE GUESTS AT THE BRAIN CHARITY’S MERSEYBEAT BALL LAST WEEKEND.

The event at the Liverpool’s Crowne Plaza Hotel was held to raise money for The Brain Charity, previously known as Neurosupport, which provides emotional and practical help to people with neurological conditions and their families.

More than £22,000 was raised during the evening, which included a charity auction, raffle and live music. The Brain Charity choir also gave their debut performance.

Nanette Mellor, CEO of The Brain Charity, said: “The evening was a huge success and I cannot thank those who attended enough for their kindness and generosity.

“There are hundreds of neurological conditions out there and we are the only charity in the country that is here for every single one of them. The money we raised at the event will help us to continue the valuable work we do across Merseyside and beyond.”
