It could be an end of the pier venue in New Brighton; if there was a pier, which sadly there is not. It has views across the breadth of the beautiful River Mersey, and in the summer sailing boats will be bobbing up and down, almost within arms-length. In winter there will be spectacular firework displays that light up the sky and the river. Marine Street Social is an expanse that could be filled with events and happenings. There will be excitable football fans on Derby Day, Soccer Saturday and Sunday. It might be a family party, or a group get-together. This is definitely a family venue that is children friendly.

Marine Street Social is a space intended to be filled with people, be it from the flourishing local community or further afield. New Brighton draws people in. It is a shout to the renaissance of seaside resorts This is a hub that will attract people from the Wirral and Liverpool.
We took in the view; settled into a comfortable booth, and ordered lunch. The burritos sounded appealing: a tortilla wrap with a wealth of tempting fillings. Amongst these: homemade salsa; rice; guacamole; kidney beans and mature cheddar cheese. All delicious. Chilli con Carne was hot, spicy and with a satisfying rich, mealy meat bite. The Siu Mai menu is well worth sampling. Steamed concoctions that combine pork, prawns, and scallops can only be a good thing. These provide superior comfort food, that is quite luscious too. The butter milk buffalo fried chicken has a tender, moist, crisp taste kick. All manner of burgers are on the menu: including a veggie bhaji burger and a salt ‘n’ pepper halloumi one too.
The service is friendly and efficient. This would be a great place to meet up during the final weeks of winter, to relax, chatter, enjoy great company and good food. So the permutations are infinite. You could go for a full English breakfast; or you could warm up with scouse, later on in the day, or ribeye steak, or curried chicken. Food, drink, music and an inclination to be sociable all combine to make this a fun venue.
