Next & Nike join forces for a series of home workout videos

Following the boom in home fitness this year, high-street giant Next has teamed up with sportswear brand Nike to deliver a series of educational home workout videos.

Covering a range of different home workout routines, these exclusive videos will be housed on a dedicated Nike workouts hub on Next’s website from Thursday 17^th September until Thursday 29^th October. Led by Nike trainer Naomi Heffernan, a new video will be uploaded weekly to the retailer’s site, YouTube channel and Instagram page and will feature the latest product releases such as the Nike Metcon 6 Trainers.

This year, more and more people are favouring working out at home over heading to the gym. In fact, according to a recent study, 1 in 10 have considered cancelling their gym memberships, with many evolving their own workouts and sticking to equipment-free exercises.

In addition, with 4 in 10 planning to continue exercising post-pandemic, it’s apparent that Next are tapping into an industry that shows no signs of braking.

The high-street giant is hoping to build on their authority in the home workout sphere by creating exclusive and accessible fitness routines, as well as educational content around the products that complement them.

A seven-week series of workouts, sportswear inspiration and nutrition advice

The Nike x Next workout series will see one video uploaded every week, led by Nike trainer and Barry’s instructor Naomi Heffernan, who has been teaching in the fitness industry since 2014.

Naomi’s videos will focus on different workouts that can be carried out at home with no equipment necessary.

“All you need is a bit of space, it doesn’t really matter if you don’t have a mat as long as you have got enough room to be moving around in” said Naomi Heffernan.
