THORNTON HALL HOTEL AND SPA IN THORNTON HOUGH, MERSEYSIDE, HAS LAUNCHED ITS OWN DISTINCTIVE BLEND OF GIN, WHICH IS DISTILLED IN NEARBY SPITAL USING LOCAL WATER AND A BLEND OF BOTANICALS INCLUDING JUNIPER, CORIANDER, CARAWAY, LEMON, CUBEB AND ELDERFLOWER.

The new tipple, known as Torintone Gin, takes its name from The Doomsday Book reference to Thornton Hough, Torintone, where Thornton Hall Hotel and Spa is located.

Geoff Dale, General Manager at Thornton Hall Hotel and Spa, said: “Gin has become one of the most requested drinks among visitors to Thornton Hall Hotel and Spa. In recent years, we have seen a whole new generation of gin drinkers, who are much more focussed on flavour and taste. There are also now more gins than ever before, which reflects its popularity.

“We have been interested in creating our own signature gin for some time so to finally savour our first batch of Torintone Gin is absolutely delightful. I am sure it will be a real hit with discerning gin lovers.”

Torintone Gin is exclusively available at Thornton Hall Hotel and Spa, which is set in picturesque grounds half way between Liverpool and Chester. The hotel is also home to the 3 AA Rosette restaurant The Lawns. The distinctive new gin blend will also be available to buy online at www.thorntonhallhotel.com.
